Real Prize Excluded States: 15, Not 17

Real Prize's own site excludes 15 states. A number of review sites print 16 or 17 by adding Indiana and Rhode Island, and we cannot find either on any official surface. This page carries the list as the operator publishes it, explains where the phantom two probably came from, and covers the question that actually costs people money: what happens to a balance when you move.

The List, As The Operator Publishes It

These 15 come from Real Prize's own site — the closest thing to an official legal surface we have while its full rules text remains uncaptured — and they are what our tracker carries:

AZ Arizona
CA California
CT Connecticut
DE Delaware
ID Idaho
LA Louisiana
MD Maryland
MI Michigan
MT Montana
NV Nevada
NJ New Jersey
NY New York
TN Tennessee
WA Washington
WV West Virginia

Two structural notes. Delaware is on the list even though the operator, RealPlay Tech Inc., is a Delaware company — operators excluding their home state is common in this sector and tells you nothing by itself. And unlike its sibling brand, Real Prize publishes no Gold-Coins-only middle tier: a state is either on this list or it is a normal two-mode state. There is no published "you can play but never redeem" trap here, which — given that LoneStar runs exactly that trap in six states — counts as a small mercy.

Correcting The Record On Indiana And Rhode Island

Search for "Real Prize states" and you will find review sites listing 16 or 17 states, with Indiana and Rhode Island added to the 15 above. We went looking for a source. Neither state appears on any official Real Prize surface we have found. Not on the site's published exclusions, not in any operator communication we hold. Until one does, we will not publish IN or RI as excluded, and a list that includes them should make you ask what else on it was copied rather than checked.

Our best guess at the error's origin is the operator's own family tree: LoneStar, the sibling brand, genuinely does ban Indiana in its Promotional Play Rules (Clause 5.2.3), and review sites that cover both brands appear to have blended the two lists. Rhode Island is a frequent exclusion elsewhere in the sector, which makes it an easy reflex-add. Neither mechanism makes the claim true for Real Prize. If you are in Indiana or Rhode Island, the answer that matters is the one the signup flow and cashier give you today — and if they contradict the published list, the software wins, because the software is what blocks a redemption.

Why We're Strict About This

A state list is not trivia. Publishing a state as banned when it isn't costs a reader a platform they could legally use; publishing it as open when it isn't invites someone to build a balance they can never redeem. The only defensible policy is to carry exactly what the operator publishes and label everything else unconfirmed — which is what our tracker does.

Same Operator, Different Map

RealPlay Tech Inc. runs two brands with two noticeably different state lists. Real Prize excludes the 15 above. LoneStar bans 13 states from sweeps play (Clause 5.2.3: CA, CT, ID, IN, LA, ME, MI, MT, NV, NJ, NY, TN, WA) and then allows six of those — CA, IN, LA, ME, NJ, TN — to keep playing in Gold Coins mode, where nothing is ever redeemable. Eleven states are on both lists. Beyond that they diverge: Real Prize alone excludes AZ, DE, MD, and WV; LoneStar alone bans IN and ME.

The practical takeaway: do not assume a family relationship means a shared map. Being blocked at one RealPlay brand tells you nothing certain about the other, in either direction. Check each list separately — the full comparison lives in Real Prize vs LoneStar.

Where The Block Actually Bites

"Excluded" is not one gate, it is three, and they fire at different times. Knowing which one catches you explains most of the confusing stories people tell about state bans.

The corollary is the advice we give for every platform, doubled here: verify a small redemption end-to-end before you build any balance you'd mind losing. A $50 test that pays proves all three gates are open for you. No amount of successful play proves anything.

If You Move Into An Excluded State

This is the scenario that strands money, and it deserves a straight answer even though Real Prize's own rules text is not yet captured. What we can say, and how firmly:

Check Your State

Pick a state. The checker runs against the 15-state list exactly as our tracker carries it, and flags the two review-site phantoms separately instead of pretending confidence we don't have.

State Eligibility Checker

Verdict

Select a state to check it against the published list.

This checker mirrors the operator's published list; it is not legal advice, and state law can change faster than any list. The signup flow and cashier are the final authority on your account. Washington DC is not on the published exclusion list and is treated here as eligible.
